‘Colour Study. Squares And Concentric Circles’ also known as ‘Farbstudie quadrate’ was produced by Wassily Kandinsky in 1913. Kandinsky applied washes of watercolour in concentric rings allowing them to flow into one another at their borders. Kandinsky produced a series of these watercolours as practical exercises and to explore more deeply the relationship between colour and form.
